Our Approach
Speed Scholars has been created to provide young sports people the opportunity to learn and develop acceleration and top speed through education and group training. Being quick is a lot more of a skill than most people realise, with key foot and body positions that can make all the difference. With good, effective coaching, performance improvements can be quickly developed and applied to there own sport specific/club sessions.
We provide a first touch with the professional standards and practices found in professional sport whether it be on the field completing sprint drills and plyometric exercises, or in the gym understand the difference between body building exercises that could make you slower, and strength/power exercises that make you faster and less injury prone.

We found sport clubs do not have the specialised skills/drill to train these techniques, the time to apply it, nor the facilities, and wanted to provide excellent sessions that fill this gap.

Damon and I have been working with this age group, and it is alarming the effects social media is having on the role models young people are choosing. We want our service to focus young people on understanding the gym environment positives and pitfalls in benefiting both performance and well-being.
